Possible to delay?

Someone may wish to delay the conversion and become a Christian at an old age. That is possible. It is never too late to turn to Jesus as long as you live. However you never know how old you will be, when you will die, or if you will be prepared for your own death. And when you are dead, the door will be closed for all eternity and at that point there will be no second chance. Then it will be too late.

It should be strongly recommended not to not delay the most important matter you will ever have to consider in your life. As Jesus said:

"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul." (Matthew 16, 26)

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6, 19-21)

"Then Jesus spoke a parable to them, saying: The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. And he thought within himself, saying; What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops? So he said, I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. And I will say to my soul; Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry. But God said to him, Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided? So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God." (Luke 12, 16-21)

To delay the conversion also implies that you will miss opportunities that God has planned for your life.
Besides, Jesus does not intend to make your life miserable if you convert to Him, on the contrary. He said;

"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6, 33)
